New Mother House for Northumbria Community

It was last September when we first were able to communicate the good news that prayers had been answered and a new Mother House for the Community had been found. Since then there’s been much prayer and cycles of activity and waiting as we’ve worked through the design and planning processes that have been necessary to transform Acton Home Farm into the new ‘Nether Springs’.
Over the last few months we’ve been working closely with the landowners and the architects on developing the final plans. They have now been completed and a planning application has been submitted to the planning authorities. The application is for: change of use; the addition of a glass-covered walkway around the ‘cloister’ – needed for dry passage between rooms; and a small additional ‘new build’ to provide a guest bedroom and complete the fourth side of the ‘cloister’.
