Japanese Zen Gardens

Stress relief can come by participating in a number of different physical and mental activities. Raking stones or sand in a Japanese Dry Landscape Garden is one of those ways.

Most people refer to them as Zen Gardens due to the association to their use in Zen Buddhism and presence at Zen temples of meditation.

Here is a Photo Gallery of Japanese Zen Gardens

and a Virtual tour of the Zen Gardens in and around Kyoto.

If you are looking for a desk sized rock garden to de-stress your workplace, then you should check out this collection at Office Playground.
